So as the title foreshadows today was a very relaxing day in the Wilkes County. I made some calls last night and lined up a couple buddies for a 9AM tee time this morning and it couldn't have been a nicer day. Temps hung around 75 and the sun was shinin. If only i could say my golf game was as flawless. We played at Countryside Golf Course (AKA: Austin Country Club). This was only my second round of the year and it showed. I managed only one birdie the entire 18. I ended up shooting a 51 on the front nine and held a one shot lead over my intense golf rival Ben Rhoades (not sure if thats the right way to spell your Rhoades) at the turn. We held fairly even until the 13th where I found that birdy and he triple bogeyed which made the difference. I did pick it up a bit on the back shooting a inspiring 45 which kept me under 100 for the round which is my usual goal. All in all I hope to continue to improve over the summer but with more and more time and money being devoted to cycling I cant make any promises. Great day though thanks for the round guys.
I will take this oppertunity to reveal my sticks....
I wont go into details but i just reacquired this set after they were stolen off the back of my truck while I was in Sanford's San Lee Park mountain biking. Nothing special: Callaway Hyper X Driver, Big Bertha 3 wood, Taylor made 5 wood, Callaway S2H2 or Ping knock off irons depending on which one has let me down lately, Wilson Sand wedge.
Also Im still in the honeymoon phase with my "new" Ping Anser putter graciously given to me by the best PGMer at Campbell University.

All I can say is that obviously the new allegations got in his head and ruined his tour. Im not sure that it matters whether or not he used because at the time everyone around he was using and thus if he hadn't he could not of competed at the sport he worked his whole life at. This goes for baseball as well, but if everybody was doing it and it was "acceptable" at the time was it any type of advantage?? Im not sure where I stand or if lance used but it doesn't change the fact that he was and is a great cyclist. I just hope reporters can learn to keep questions related to the race at hand and save other stuff for after before the Tour de France.
And Thats all I have to say about that...
