Still on the trail...

So iv still been riding trying to get as many miles in my legs before its time to head back to school. I rode 3 laps around the 8 mile dark mountain trail last week to try and dial in my lines. This will be the setting for the App St collegiate race the last week of september.

Today I had planed to ride 30 miles doing both the warrior creek loop and OVT. I giot to the trail about 9 and rode warrior first. I felt sick from the start but usually that will pass after the first 30 minutes or so. Today never felt better. About 10 miles in I noticed I was on some fresh trail. I didn't remember taking a turn but I knew I was on some unfamiliar trail. Turns out there has been about a 2 mile extension added to warrior creek that adds some more climbs and tech section without bypassing any of the old parts. Looks like it may hurt my chances of making 5 laps at next years 6 Hours of Warrior Creek. Pretty fun section though. It continues to be so hot that I cant even really enjoy the ride so I called it a day after the first 15 miles or so.

Sunday me and my woman did a couple mile hike up the Blue Ridge Parkway. Really nice day nice veiws and fun walk. Like usual I can manage some pics on a hike just not so much on a lone bike ride.

We have, after much work, got the final draft of the 2010-2011 Campbell Cycling Jersey finished. They are currently being printed. Im gonna save the unveiling though and talk about the schedule as well later. I will say the first race is the first weekend in September so its time to really get dialed in.
